“Beyond These Bars” – A Spoken Word Performance by Gloria Umanah

The annual CLI Prison Alliance Gala, “Together On Mission,” held Tuesday, October 5, at the North Ridge Country Club was a big success!

Jesus Christ was glorified during an energetic and moving program that featured powerful testimonies, a touching standing ovation and new exciting ministry developments. We are truly humbled by the generous support of our guests and others in the community who made the event possible. The theme for the evening was on full display as partners came together to give praise to God and financially invest in the mission of seeing the incarcerated receive hope through the Gospel of Christ.

The keynote speaker was Gloria Umanah, spoken-word artist and executive director of the Ex-Nihilo Collective. She performed an original spoken-word piece titled “Beyond These Bars” that powerfully portrays the desperation and hope the incarcerated community experiences.
